App and web based Timeline - oDesk

This job is to create an app (iOS and Android) which uploads photos and textual notes to a cloud hosted Timeline.



The App: The app will use the smartphone's built-in camera to take a photo. There will be a function to add a caption to the photo. When the photo is saved by the user it is uploaded to a Timeline. The user can also create simple text entries using the built-in Notes functionality. This can also be uploaded to the Timeline. Both photo's and Notes will carry meta data such as time/date with them to position them on the timeline.



There will be 2 versions - Free with ads. Paid version with no ads



This is all the app does - uploads pictures and/or user-generated text to a timeline.



App platform: iOS and Android

Graphics: All graphics supplied in correct format for each platform



The Timeline:

You will need to be familiar with cloud hosting and be able to specify the best cloud hosting service for this project. You will need to either adapt an existing Timeline application or build a completely new Timeline web app. The Timeline will need to be graphical and interactive. It will need security controls - logins and https. An example of a good timeline application is here: http://www.tiki-toki.com/ User will need to be able to create new timelines. Paid version will allow other users to add to Timeline.



Graphics: Any required graphics and look and feel supplied

This is a top-line brief and will need to be further refined with you.
