Co-Blogger/Blog Writer to post content for my Blog - oDesk

I have a blog called BestBlogManila.com and I am trying to expand it to be the next biggest internet newspaper in the Philippines. The blog is two years old and is doing well in local and international blog rankings. Currently, I am the only one writing articles for it. My goal is to make it big and soon incorporate it and hire more people in many different positions.



Since I do not have any team members yet, I will soon organize an editorial board and schedule team meetings to brainstorm on how we could make BestBlogManila.com the next biggest Philippine internet newspaper.



TWO OPEN POSITIONS:



I need two (2) Co-Bloggers/Writers who can update and post "ORIGINAL" articles on as many different topics as possible but mostly in the following topics:



1. Travel

2. Recreations

3. Leisure

4. Home and Living

5. Society

6. Tech/Gadgets

7. Sports

8. Politics

9. Shopping

10. Fashion/Trends and the Arts

11. Showbiz News/TV Shows/Movies



QUALIFICATIONS:



The applicant should be a Filipino or Foreigner with strong command of the English language. He/she must be living anywhere in Metro Manila, Philippines and should be open for future editorial meetings/brainstorming/jamming sessions (usually will be held at Starbucks Coffee anywhere in the metro or any agreed meeting place).



I will require at least one sample original article to be sent to my e-mail.



I prefer someone who has an experience writing for a tertiary publication or any commercial publications.



Knowledge of basic journalism rules is preferred but not required.



ONCE YOU GET HIRED:



This is a long term job that requires dedication and hard work, if you are looking for really big earnings, please do not apply. This is a start up and "for now" I can only pay up to $5.00 (fixed) per post and $1.00 (fixed) per image.



I will require photos for each post you submit. I prefer original photos but it is not required. I will pay fixed price of $5.00 for each post of at least 500 words with photo(s). I will pay extra $1.00 for every original photo. If you do not own a camera or cannot produce your own photo, you may copy photos from Google or any other image bank online provided that you are aware and has read the owners' terms or copyright policies so as to protect the name of The Blog (BestBlogManila.com) against the rights of the owners. I am very particular with plagiarism so I will not entertain any copied articles or articles that have already been published somewhere else. In addition, I would expect that your article is free of grammatical errors and have been thoroughly spelled checked and reviewed with good sources and references if necessary.



At BestBlogManila.com, we will work as a real company and one team and hopefully, the two of you will be my senior editors once the blog did well. This also means that in the long run, your job description will change from just a mere writer to senior editors overseeing a group of writers and contributors.



For now, I need the two of you to help me improve the quality of posts that we have at BestBlogManila.com and help me put up the Philippines' next internet newspaper.
