This additive free challenge is a not-for-profit online two week challenge for families to eat additive
free. It is an opportunity for families to experience dramatic improvements in their child’s behaviour
and health that I experienced with my daughter.
The basic outline of the site is to have a welcome page and 4 tabs across the top which link to 4 simple
information pages. To participate in the challenge, participants will create a log-in and password on the
home page (terms and conditions will need to be accepted). The challenge is for two weeks but there is a
week of observation either side (starting 9th November) so that families can track their improvements.
Once the challenge starts, the log-in will open up another set of 4-5 tabs running vertically down the
left-hand side. After log-in the vertical tabs include:
Tab 1 – Test: A questionnaire where participants can rate their symptoms of different behavioural and
health conditions. Each time a participant takes the test they can save it on this page under the date
and name of the person whose symptoms they are recording. So, if a family has 3 people with
behavioural/health issues they wish to track, they will do 3 different questionnaires each week while
undertaking the challenge.
Tab 2 – Diary: A 4 week calendar. Participants can click on a date and input notes to track their
family’s changes. Once the specific day opens up there are set sections to input what the family ate for
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Drinks followed by a generalised notes section. The diary is specific
to each participant and can't be viewed by anyone else.
Tab 3 – Recipes: These will be divided into Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks/Something Yummy
Tab 4 – Resources: PDF documents of information for schools and families
Tab 5 - Forum: A forum where experts can answer questions from participants. Only experts have the
capacity to answer.
The site needs to be CMS so I can update it myself. It needs to be viewed on mobile devices too. I also
need a simple logo design.
