Dynamic Dropdown System | php, ajax, mysql - oDesk

A) Create 2 buttons & functions (admin area):

Site = /admin/categories.php



1. Upload attributes

2. Delete attributes



For this step you have to create a new table in mysql database.

To this table goes the data from CSV.

For next step its essential that you associate entrys with selectet products.

So you have to create ID and associate with product ID.

B) Create dynamic dropdown in products (customer area)

Site = /product_info.php



Now we go. User select a product. If we have data in our table we have to insert now

our dynamicly dropdown system. (div class="productoptions")



IMPORTANT User cant buy a product if he not select all available dropdowns.

We can ask user up to 6 values.



Option1 - Option6. Dynamicly read from database.



If option available, display it to user.

Is option empty: all things done. User can add his Product to his basket.



For start we have 1 Dropdown. USer make his selection and we look to database if there option 2 for his selection.

If there a option we display second dropdown with option 2.



This we do every time up to option 6 if there a value in table for user selection.

C) Manipulate Values for Products (customer area)

Site = /product_info.php & /shopping_cart.php & database (orders)



Now after user has select all available we have to manipulate some values cause:

Every option is liked with some fixed values (in our CSV Database)



So we have to change:



1. Price

2. OrderNr.

3. Name

4. weight

5. QTY



This we have to change Live cause customer has to know what he has to pay before he ad his product to basket.

This values goes to basket and we have to save them in database (orders).
